Communal LifeAs Benedictine monastic women, we are committed to living as a community according to the Rule of St. Benedict and under the guidance of a prioress, who is our spiritual leader. We challenge each other to develop our individual gifts and to live responsibly and joyfully. Through mutual love and esteem for one another, we become what we are called to be: one in Christ. We unite in prayer, work, and leisure, drawing upon each other to strengthen our weaknesses, supply the talents we lack, and multiply our effectiveness in everything we do. ![]() Sister Jane Casey and Sister Maria Volk enjoy a summer day on the shore of Lake Superior. ![]() Sisters participate in the annual American Cancer Society's Relay For Life.
