CSS and Superior Retreat

Sister Lisa Maurer, along with students from the College of St. Scholastica (CSS), offered a retreat for the Confirmation Candidates from the Catholic Parishes in the city of Superior.

Sister Lisa and members of the CSS Catholic Retreat Team led a day-long retreat at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Superior on Saturday, February 2, 2019. The retreat consisted of five teaching sessions, personal testimonials, small group discussions, games, music, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and the celebration of Holy Mass.

When asked about the retreat, Sister Lisa said, “I was very impressed with how the CSS team members interreacted with the high school students and the openness of the Confirmation Candidates made the retreat a true success. The Holy Spirit was active. It was great day for all!”

“Listen carefully, my child, to your master's precepts, and incline the ear of your heart. Receive willingly and carry out effectively your loving father's advice, that by the labor of obedience you may return to Him from whom you had departed by the sloth of disobedience.”
